Tamara joined BA Folk in 2023 and maintains a broad civil practice shaped by her background in business, technology, and practical problem-solving.

Corporate Counsel

Tamara Brings more than twenty years of experience as an information-technology business and systems analyst in the financial and clinical sectors to her legal work with small and mid-sized businesses. She helps clients make sound decisions on entity formation, contracts, operational processes, and data-privacy practices, and is a zealous negotiator and litigator. She earned certification as a Certified Information Privacy Manager through the International Association of Privacy Professionals in 2022.

Real Estate Matters

Tamara assists property owners, developers, and landlords with rezoning and land-use matters; easements; title review; disputes involving tenants, neighbors, governmental agencies, and HOAs; commerical and complex sales; and partitions and other real-estate litigation.

Family Law

While no longer taking general family-law matters, Tamara continues to represent parents and non-parents in cases where custody is contested between a parent and another caregiver. she also advises individuals in low-conflict situations who wish to proceed pro se, but want guidance regarding filinlgs, settlement agreements, or other aspects of the process.

General Litigation

Tamara handles select civil and criminal matters, including medical malpractice, personal injury, and expunctions.

Tamara earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and her law degree through the evening program at North Carolina Central University School of Law. She lives in Wake Forest and is the proud mother of three adult children.
